Bhiwandi based businessman files a case of fraud against Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra over unpaid dues worth Rs 24 lakhs
On Thursday, Maharashtra Police filed an FIR against actress Shilpa Shetty and husband Raj Kundra in an alleged case of fraud. As per the complainant, the duo owes him unpaid dues worth Rs 24 lakhs.

A businessman with a bedsheet manufacturing business in Bhiwandi, Ravi Bhatolia has filed an FIR against Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra and three other directors of Best Deal TV. The businessman claimed that he has sold bedsheets via Best Deal TV, but the channel stopped paying him midway.

The complaint states that the CEO of Best Deal TV, Gaurav Garg got in touch with Ravi in May 2015 and asked him to deal with Best Deal TV as 'celebrities like Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty were associated with the firm'. After having met the directors, Ravi did start dealing with the company, which initially did pay him for the sales.

However, between July and September 2016 the company allegedly avoided paying his dues. Ravi further alleged that the company owed him unpaid dues worth Rs 24.12 lakhs and he was 'shocked' when he heard that the channel had been shut down.

Ravi filed the criminal complaint after his repeated efforts to get the money failed. A criminal complaint against the directors of Best Deal TV, including Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra, has been filed in Kongaon police station in Maharashtra.
