Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan approached to play the lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'

The news of Kartik Aaryan playing the lead in the upcoming sequel of the hit comedy-horror, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ spread like wildfire. Not only was his look well-received, but fans were beyond eager to see how he planned to fill in Akshay Kumar’s shoes in the sequel. The filmmakers revealed that they are planning on finishing the movie off by the end of the year.
While all the loose ends of the film may be coming together, the makers are still in search of their leading lady. According to reports, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Han were approached for the role.


According to a source. "The makers were keen to cast Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role opposite Kartik on the show. They had even approached Shraddha but things did not work out as she had prior commitments. Shraddha did show her interest but given her date issues, things did not move further."
The same source continued to spill the beans adding that Sara Ali Khan was also approached for the film, but her schedule is currently a tad too occupied at the moment. The makers are in search of a young, Generation X actor for the role of the female lead.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series and Cine 1 studios. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film is scheduled to hit the screens on July 31, 2020.
