Shraddha Kapoor on 'Padmavati' row: It is very saddening what’s happening and it’s unfortunate

Actress Shraddha Kapoor is the latest Bollywood star to step up in support of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmavati'. Amidst the controversy, the actress says that it is unfortunate that the two artistes are at the receiving end of death threats. The film has been marred by controversies ever since its inception. In a shocking turn of events, now a dead body has been found with Anti-'Padmavati' slogans in Rajasthan.

When Shraddha was asked about her take on the controversy, she stated, “I think it’s very very unfortunate. It is very saddening what’s happening and it’s unfortunate. This is what I want to say.” A lot of other celebrities including Richa Chadha, Rohit Roy, Ranveer Singh and many others have stepped up in support of the film and have slammed the protestors. Earlier the film was slated to release on December 1, but following the controversies, the makers voluntarily deferred the release. No new date has been announced yet. Stay tuned for more updates.
