Shraddha Kapoor, who is known for her cutesy, girl-next-door image, will be seen playing the fierce character of Haseena Parkar in her next. When asked about her preparation for the part, Shraddha revealed that playing the part of Haseena was a challenge and she wished that she could meet Haseena to prepare for the role much better.

Talking at the 'Haseena' trailer launch Shraddha said, "I feel every film has challenges, whether it’s fiction or non-fiction. I am essaying a real life character for the first time, and I wish I could have met her. It would have helped me, but Appu (Apoorva Lakhia) sir has spent a lot of time with her so whatever experience he had, he shared it with me. And that helped me a great deal in understanding her. I hope I have done a decent job in portraying her."

Shraddha, who will be seen playing the role of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's sister had to put on weight for the part. Shraddha added, "I put on seven to nine kilos for the film, and now I am in the process of losing that weight. I didn’t work out and was eating everything. My weight increase credit goes to Appu who used to get biryani and gulab jamun daily."

When quizzed if she is bored of playing the cute girl-next-door parts in romantic films, Shraddha concluded saying, "I don’t think I can get bored of romantic films. I have had the opportunity to be part of some fantastic romantic stories. I will always pick a romantic movie with an interesting script. I cannot remember one instance where I got bored, except for getting ready for a few characters that takes long at times."
