‘Rock On 2’ may not have worked too well at the box office, but it hasn’t dampened Shraddha Kapoor’s spirit! The actress is determined to leave the audience spellbound with her portrayal of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena in her upcoming movie ‘Haseena – The Queen of Mumbai’ and is leaving no stones unturned in prepping for her character. Along with regular workshops, Shraddha has been walking the busy streets of Mumbai to get a deep understanding of her character and get into its skin.

Talking about Shraddha’s part in the movie, a source said, “Shraddha’s journey in Haseena-The Queen of Mumbai begins from the character’s teenage years and goes on till she is 45. To get into the character, Shraddha has been attending workshops, reading up and researching all she can on her character. Haseena grew up in Nagpada and that’s where the actress started her research, going there, clad in a burkha. The first time she did this was a week ago, with the film’s director and writer. She returned today with her bodyguards following at a discreet distance to meet the Parkars.”

But that’s not it; Shraddha is delving further into Haseena’s past and trying to soak in every phase of her life. Talking about this, the source further said, “Haseena rose to prominence in the crime world after her husband Ibrahim Parkar was gunned down at a hotel in Nagpada. Shraddha has visited the hotel and had a cup of tea there. She wants to soak in the ambience of Nagpada where Haseena was brought up in, the school she went to and the people she met. Shraddha wants to be as clued-in to her character as possible. In a crowded place Nagpada it’s easy to blend in the crowd in a burkha, hence the outfit.”
