Sidharth Malhotra: Direction is at the back of my mind

It is a well-known fact that before making his dream debut in 'Student Of The Year', Sidharth Malhotra assisted Karan Johar on 'My Name Is Khan'. And even now, the actor reveals that direction is at the back of his mind all the time. Not only direction, Sidharth in a recent interview revealed that he also plans to soon venture into production.
Talking to a leading daily, Sidharth said, "The thought has crossed my mind. If there's a film that I feel extremely passionate about, I would want to put my name on it as a producer and back it up. I definitely see myself doing that in the future because there are so many interesting stories to tell and sometimes, actors want to collaborate. I am definitely looking out for something to happen soon."
Talking about direction, Sidharth added, "Direction is something that is at the back of my mind all the time. I like the process of filmmaking. I love how a film is edited, I absolutely love it when somebody puts up a good shot, I have immense respect for filmmakers, who do it every day. But right now, I am consumed by telling stories as an actor. I think maybe somewhere way ahead in the future, I would want to tell a story as a director too. You never know!"
