If you work in the Bollywood industry, one wrong move can make you a walking, talking target. Be it a comment, or a tweet, or a photo, the audience spares no time in making sure that the accused star is made aware of their "horrendous" mistake. Sidharth Malhotra was recently in the limelight after being trolled constantly on social media platforms for promoting his film 'A Gentleman', during the riots after the arrest of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

The actor had tweeted, "To all the people of Haryana , please stay safe. Hope you can see our film soon #Agentleman #PeaceAndLove" He also added, "People of Punjab ! Please take care and stay safe.Hope you can see our film soon #AGentleman #PeaceAndLove."

This apparently did not go down well with the people and a lot of them trolled the actor immensely on Twitter.

Sidharth later added, "Its really sad to see the situation worsen since morning and see people in Punjab and Haryana http://suffer.Love and prayers." and also reacted to the trolls by tweeting, "To people who are commenting on my morning tweets, they were made before the verdict ! Thoughts n prayers"

Recently, in an interview with a leading daily, when Sidharth was asked what he thought about the entire dispute, he stated, "Initially, trolls and rumours would affect me. I did not grow up in the industry and I am not used to the rumour mill. I had to train myself to let it go. It is an unproductive energy that should be ignored. It is a matter of training my own head to be aware but not let it affect me."

Sidharth is currently shooting for his next movie 'Aiyaary', directed by Neeraj Pandey. Stay tuned for more updates.
