Sidharth Malhotra to do Raj Kumar Gupta’s untitled next?

Sidharth Malhotra has already announced three confirmed projects - 'Reload' which is slated to release in August, the 'Ittefaq' remake that will be up for release by the 2017-year end and 'Aiyaary' which will hit theatres during the Republic Day weekend in January 2018. Sidharth is the only actor to announce three films which will release in the next few months.

A leading daily now informs that Sidharth has signed on to do yet another film. A source close to the daily reveals, "Raj Kumar Gupta has been preparing a script — a thriller — for over a year now. Now that the script is ready, he has approached Sid, who has liked the story and is keen on doing the film. His team is working out the dates for the film."

The report further suggests that the film is going be a thriller and Sidharth plans to start shooting for the film by the year end, once he completes shooting for Neeraj Pandey's 'Aiyaary'.

Raj Kumar Gupta had also announced 'Section 84' starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. However, post Kareena walked out of the project, the film failed to see the light of the day. The film since has been put on hold. When the daily further questioned if it is the same film with a male protagonist, the source rubbished the rumours and added, "Raj is not making 'Section 84' anymore. That remains on hold until another director picks the story up from its writer. This is a thriller with a national and patriotic angle to it."
