Hansal Mehta's Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Simran' released earlier this year and it did not quite hit well with audiences as also did not bomb the box-office. And recently, the actress opened up about the implications the movie's failure had on her. The actress was going to make her directorial debut with her next, 'Teju' however, she has now revealed that those plans have changed.

When asked about her stint as a director, she said, "Of course it was on the cards, but because 'Simran' didn't work a lot, things changed for me, unfortunately. So now I'm going to be working in the capacity of an actor. There is another thriller I'm doing and another inspirational story after that. So you still have to wait to test my directorial skills." Earlier, about 'Teju', the actress had said, "It is a children’s film, and I have a lot of ideas and excitement for it. But it will be a difficult project to pull off, and I am looking forward to it." Well, looks like we will have to wait a while longer for it to happen.

In the meanwhile, Kangana has torn her ligament whilst she was shooting for her next, 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. On this, she said, "I've had many mishaps on sets and a lot of accidents because essentially it's an action film, and we have a lot of action. First, I was hit by a sword. Then, I was hit on my back, I tore a ligament. But I just feel that whatever it takes to bring the most extraordinary story alive on screen and whatever I have to sacrifice is worth it, she was the greatest warrior of all times."

Well, we're eagerly awaiting 'Manikarnika' which is slated to release on the 27th of April, 2018.
