Singer Papon accused of kissing a minor girl on a reality show

Singer Papon, who is one of the main judges on a reality show with Shaan and Himmesh Reshammiya has been booked for forcibly trying to kiss one of the female contestants of the show. Apparently, it all started when the singer posted a live video for the holi special segment with the contestants on his official Facebook handle.


Supreme Court Lawyer Runa Bhuyan has now filed a complaint against Papon saying, “I am shocked to see the behaviour of the said singer Angarag Papon Mahanta towards a minor girl where he is seen to be applying colors on a minor girl and inappropriately kissing the said girl. On seeing the video, I am seriously concerned regarding the safety and security of minor girl participating in reality shows across India.”


Minutes after the lawyer filed a complaint, the video went viral on the internet. However, Papon’s manager stated that the singer didn’t mean any harm to the child, and was not wrong. The manager said, “The act was not meant to hurt the sentiments of any individual, and that it was not wrong in any manner, which is why they see no reason to pull down the video from the official Facebook page of Papon.”
