Sonakshi Sinha to play a grey character in the 'Ittefaq' remake

Sonakshi Sinha and Sidharth Malhotra are all set to star in the remake of 1969 film 'Ittefaq'. The 1969 film starred veteran actor Rajesh Khanna alongside Nanda and the story of which revolved around a murder mystery. Sonakshi is known to have an interesting choice of films, and so her signing the 'Ittefaq' remake doesn't surprise us. She is rather excited that she will be seen playing a grey character in the film.

Talking to a leading daily, Sonakshi revealed, "The script has been modernised, and my part has shades of grey. It's not entirely like Nanda's. This is the first time I will be playing such a character and I'm excited about that. It's the novelty of the part that drew me to it."

The actress will soon begin her prep for the film. Talking about her character, Sonakshi further added, "Sidharth is a little occupied with some professional commitments, and we'll start as soon as he gets done. I've known him socially, but this is the first time we're working together."

This will be the first time that Sonakshi and Sidharth will star together in a film, and hence they will make a rather interesting on-screen pair. The film is to go on floors by February.
