Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol get into war of tweets over Abhay’s post on celebrities endorsing fairness projects
Recently, Abhay Deol slammed various Bollywood actors for endorsing fairness creams. Taking to his social media, the actor shared of a series of ads starring B-town’s biggest stars and explained how are they responsible for further nurturing the colour bias in the country. One of the ads shared by the actor starred Sonam Kapoor.
However, not being the one to take things sitting, Sonam responded to her ‘Aisha’ co-star’s post. Sonam took to her Twitter handle and commented that she agrees with him and that she had shot this ad 10 years ago when she didn’t really understand the consequences of such adverts.
Not only did Sonam Kapoor respond to Abhay, she also shared another skin-lightening ad featuring Abhay’s cousin Esha Deol and asked for the actor’s opinion on the same.
Concurring with Sonam, Abhay agreed that the ad was wrong and asked Sonam to read his posts for his opinion on such ads.
