Sridevi: Nothing would give me greater joy than to see Janvhi married

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Sridevi's daughter, Jhanvi Kapoor's Bollywood debut. There are reports that suggest that Jhanvi is to make her debut with the Hindi remake of 'Sairat'opposite Shahid Kapoor's step brother Ishaan Khattar. Earlier there were reports that Janvhi was to make her debut with Karan Johar’s 'Student Of The Year 2' that stars Tiger Shroff, but there has been no confirmation regarding either of the projects.

When quizzed actress Sridevi about the same, the 'MOM' actress not only shed light on Janvhi's debut project but she also revealed that she was not too keen for Janvhi to make her B-town debut.

Sridevi revealed, "She wanted to do the film (SOTY 2) and initially, I wasn’t in favour. I don’t think it’s a bad industry. I am a creation of this world. But as a parent, it would give me greater joy to see her married. But her happiness matters more, and if she does well as an actress, I will be a proud mother.”

Talking about her daughters, Janvhi and Khushi, the actress said, "Earlier I would take them to social gatherings and premieres that I attended. But people thought I was promoting Janvhi. Walking with my girls made me feel like a proud mother. But to the world, it became a reason to misunderstand me."
