It was just yesterday that we brought you the news about the 'Sui Dhaaga' logo being made by Indian artisans. The film, starring Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan will be the first to see the two stars share screen space. The film's team chose National Handloom Day to release their logo, making it the perfect day even to start promotions off for the film.

For the first time ever, a Bollywood film's logo has been made by artisans from across the country. The film’s team reached out to local artisans and craftsmen from across the length and breadth of the country to create the logo in their unique stitching styles. In a special video (one that you can see below), Varun and Anushka reveal that the film's team sent a stencil to several artists in Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and to several other states and cities and the artists in return sent back their respective logos made intricately using their specific location's artistry and fabrics.

The 'Sui Dhaaga' logo has been done in striking and globally popular Indian hand needlework forms of Kashida and Sozni from Kashmir, colourful Phulkari from Punjab, the intricate thread work forms Rabari and Mochi Bharat from Gujarat, Phool Patti from Uttar Pradesh and Zardozi work from Lucknow. It has also be created in Rajasthan’s prominent crafts like Aari, Banjara and Gota Patti, Tamil Nadu’s popular Toda style and Karnataka’s Kasuti design. Travelling towards the east, which constitutes of over 50 percent of India’s handloom exports, the film’s logo has been made in Pipli style from Odisha, Handloom work from Assam, Kantha stitch work from West Bengal.

Here's the video shared by Varun Dhawan on the making of the logo:

Directed by Sharat Kataria and produced by Maneesh Sharma, the film is all set to release on September 28 this year.
