Sunny Leone to receive PETA’s ‘Person of the Year’ award

Earlier this year, Bollywood actress Sunny Leone joined hands with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). She featured in an ad campaign encouraging people to adopt homeless dogs. The project was a huge success as a result of which the actress will be honoured with PETA’s ‘Person of the Year’ award.

Praising Sunny for her efforts Sachin Bangera of PETA said, “Sunny Leone's kindness proves she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. PETA is calling on people everywhere to follow her compassionate example by adopting and never buying companion animals, and by eating healthy, plant-based meals that save animals every time we sit down to eat."

It truly is heartwarming to see Bollywood actors bring out a positive change in the society. Other noteworthy names who have received this award in the past are Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Kapil Sharma, Hema Malini, R Madhavan and Jacqueline Fernandez.
