Sushant Singh Rajput turns down a fairness cream endorsement deal

Bollywood celebrities are known to endorse brands without thinking about the social stigma attached to them. Most Bollywood bigwig's also propagate the idea of fair skin being beautiful. This practice of theirs was even called out by Abhay Deol, who slammed his colleagues for promoting skin lightening products. While most Bollywood celebs don't think twice about lending their face to such commercials, actor Sushant Singh Rajput has decided to steer clear of them.
Reportedly, the actor turned down a fairness cream endorsement deal for which he was apparently being offered a fee of Rs 15 crore. A source said, "Sushant doesn't believe in endorsing such products. So despite it being a lucrative offer, he immediately turned it down. He feels that he needs to be responsible about the kind of products he lends his face to, as several people look up to him." When asked about same, Sushant said, "As responsible actors, it is our duty to not indulge in sending out incorrect messages.
