Swara Bhasker says that ‘PadMan’ is empowering and thought-provoking

As ‘PadMan’ will hit the theatres tomorrow and already Akshay Kumar’s film is being appreciated a lot. After the makers of the film had shifted the release date of the film to February 9 so that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Padmaavat’ will get a solo release on January 25th. Swara Bhasker who watched ‘PadMan’ had the most wonderful things to say about the movie and the team. As ‘PadMan’ is the first film to release in Russia, Ivory Coast, and Iraq at the same day as India.


The actress said that the film was uplifting, empowering, hopeful, fun & thought-provoking. Swara Bhasker took to Twitter and wrote, “#padman Uplifting, empowering, hopeful, fun & thought provoking.. R v too quick to judge people illogically because r minds r closed by archaic notions like Shame? Kudos #RBalki sir, @mrsfunnybones @swanandkirkire thank uuuuu 4 telling this story.”


She further added, “Such wonderful performances in #padman Loved @akshaykumar sir’s earnest lovable turn, @radhika_apte ‘s fantastic conviction & @sonamakapoor u shine with such an easy breezy warm performance bringing such energy and life to this happy hopeful tale. Congrats all.”





On Wednesday Twinkle Khanna had tweeted, “I once told my PadMan that I will take him places... Well, not only will Pad Man release in 50 countries all over the world but It is Bollywood’s first film that will be releasing day and date in Russia, Ivory Coast, and even Iraq,” Twinkle Khanna tweeted on Wednesday.


‘PadMan’ stars Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles and it is directed by R Balki. The film will hit the theatres on 9th February.
