Bollywood actresses have been trolled always for attire, especially for the outfits they wear. They are also body shamed and are trolled on social media often. Recently a new show has been out where they address the issue of cyberbullying and makes trolls accountable for their online behaviour. They try to interact with the celebrities who have been victimized and the troll face to face. Taapsee Pannu who appeared on the show spoke about Ashish, a student from Lucknow who’s been trolling her on social media.

Ashish had trolled Taapsee Pannu for the floral bikini look which she put out on social media before the release of ‘Judwaa2’, Ashish not only commented on the picture but had also compared her to a porn star, talking about the whole incident Taapsee said, “I think with the power that social media has given us, it is so easy to mock someone nowadays. What people don’t understand is that it can genuinely crush someone’s confidence. Just because a female does not abide by the conventional rules, people like to call her names which is highly upsetting. I want to convey the message through the show to youngsters out there — do not use internet anonymity to shed the veneer of decency.”

The actress further added, “It’s humiliating! After achieving so much for yourself as an independent woman, this is how you get appreciated by the men of our society. After reading all these comments, sometimes I feel that I have opted for the wrong profession. Going forward, if you see any of your friend or relative trolling someone, then please share this experience with them.”
