Tamil film industry pays tribute to late veteran actress Sridevi

Veteran Bollywood actress Sridevi's sudden and untimely demise has left the entire nation in a state of shock. The actress passed away due to accidental drowning in Dubai where she had travelled to attend a relative's wedding. Her family and friends have since then been trying to come to terms with her death. Many Bollywood celebrities had taken to their social media accounts to share their condolences to her family. They had also paid a visit to her prayer meet in Mumbai. On Sunday, the actress was fondly remembered in a prayer meet organised by actors and filmmakers of the Tamil film industry in Chennai.
Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were all part of the prayer meet held at a city hotel in Chennai. Her close friend Manish Malhotra also apparently accompanied them to the prayer meet. Although the media was not present at the event, photos have been circulated on social media by the late actress' fan clubs.
