Unless you have been living under a rock, you couldn't have possibly missed out on Rihanna's cover for British Vogue's 2018 September issue. And while her floral headgears in the shoot have lead to lots of conversation, her ultra-skinny eyebrows were a major cause of debate and discussion. “Thin eyebrows are just beautiful, very ladylike… but it’s still punk,” Rihanna said.

Make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench, who created the much-debated look, still remains tight-lipped on the look but has been at the centre of the global debate around the return of the razor-sharp brow. “I don't think they are groundbreaking! Marlene Dietrich was rocking them back in the ‘30s? But I suppose it is a bold move for a Vogue cover," Ffrench told British Vogue.

With Rihanna’s own beauty background, the look was always going to push the boundaries of style, right? Ffrench, who is known for her creative and modern take on makeup and personal style has certainly outdone herself this time. “Rihanna is amazing at makeup so working with her is like working with a makeup artist. She knows what works for her (even though everything works on her!) and it's always a collaboration,” she said. “We were shooting till 6.30am... Music turnt up!” she added.
Does this mean we can expect to see a return of ultra-thin brows?
