Tiger’s ‘Baaghi 2’ to release before Ranbir’s Sanjay Dutt biopic

On Thursday Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed that his next project ‘Baaghi 2’ is all set to release on March 30. The film stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in lead roles. The film is a sequel to ‘Baaghi’. Apparently, the date March 30 belonged to Rajkumar Hirani’s much-awaited film Sanjay Dutt biopic. But according to the sources, the biopic needs more time. So the studio has requested Sajid Nadiadwala to release his film on that date.


A source said, “Both movies are backed by the same studio. It seemed that the Dutt biopic (tentatively being referred to as Sanju) needed more time. So, the studio requested Sajid to release his ‘Baaghi 2’ on that date.”


The Sanjay Dutt biopic is now set to release on April 27 or August 11 according to a source. As even Akshay Kumar’s film Gold’ is set to release on August 11, there will be a clash between the two massive films. The Dutt biopic also features Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, and Dia Mirza. Manisha Koirala will play the role of Nargis Dutt, while Paresh Rawal will be seen as Sunil Dutt.
