Twinkle Khanna: 'Pad Man' is a wonderful project

Actress Twinkle Khanna announced her first production venture - 'Pad Man', which will see Akshay Kumar in the lead. The film draws inspiration from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham who found a way to make sanitary napkins affordable for women in his village.
The film that also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor alongside Akshay, went on floors last week in Indore. Recently at an event, Twinkle was quizzed about the story of the film. To this, the actress said, "It (shoot) is going very well. Mr Muruganantham was also there. It's a wonderful project. It will bring awareness about something which has so far been cloaked and shamed, and I am very happy to be a part of the film."
The film directed by R. Balki will see Radhika play Akshay wife whereas Sonam will play women who inspired change in the lives of the people. The film is slated to release around the later half of 2017.
