It's a new day which means there's more news about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmavati'. After months of controversy, it finally looks like something good will be happening for the film. The prospects of the release of the controversial film brightened significantly with the censor board and the filmmakers arriving at an agreement to change the title to 'Padmavat', carry two disclaimers and modify a song sequence featuring the Mewat queen. The Central Board of Film Certification has offered a U/A certification after it viewed the film on Thursday evening and suggested five modifications and not a couple of dozen cuts as speculated.

The viewing was attended by CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi and the film has been vetted by a panel of experts. On Saturday, the censor board had announced that it had begun the process of granting a U/A certificate to the film. The censor board chief said the film's producer and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are "completely in agreement with the changes". But apparently, this decision of theirs did not go down well with the Twitteratis who had a field day mocking the CBFC for suggesting a change in the film's title. Check out some of their tweets below:

Well, we hope this film soon sees the light of day. Stay tuned for more updates.
