Vaani Kapoor takes responsibility for Befikre's poor performance at the box-office, but also believes that the film will get its due in the coming time
Vaani Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer 'Befikre' didn't manage to do well at the box-office. The film, a modern take on relationships, didn't quite manage to click with the audience. Though the film didn't do too well, one couldn't miss but noticed Vaani's transformation for the film. The girl-next-door in 'Shuddh Desi Romance' transformed herself to a svelte, bold Shyra in 'Befikre'.

The actress was criticised for her transformation as people considered her too thin, while many stated that Vaani lost her charm. However, Vaani has taken all the criticism in her stride and takes responsibility for the film's poor performance. Talking to a leading tabloid, Vaani said, "I know that the film has got polarised reviews. It will get its due in the coming years. I have always felt that I was the biggest risk factor and the biggest bet for 'Befikre' because everyone else in the team had achieved something and have already proven their worth in their respective fields. I was the new face who stood a chance to be accepted or not. Aditya didn't go with the obvious choice and cast me, so somewhere I felt that if there was anything that didn't work, it was probably me."

She admits that she thoroughly enjoyed shooting the film with Aditya and Ranveer. Before signing off she also spoke about relationships and her idea of dating.
