Varun Dhawan to star in Govinda’s 'Coolie No 1' remake

For the longest time, speculations were rife about Varun Dhawan starring in Govinda's 'Coolie No 1' remake. Now, the actor has finally confirmed that he will indeed star in the hit 1995 film's remake which will also be directed by his father David Dhawan. The star spoke about the film in an interview with a media portal. Talking about confirming the news, Varun said, “As I said it, I was like “should I say it?” But I think it’s come out so many places that yeah.”
When he was asked if he was being paired with Alia Bhatt or Sara Ali Khan, he said, “I can’t do every film with Alia Bhatt.” He continued, “That you will know soon, I don’t want to say it now but Alia and me are not working. We’ll do something..after...we’ll give a little break to people because I think for everyone it is like ‘oh, they are back again’.”
He further spoke about how often he has been paired with Alia and said, “We feel like building friends - we are playing together all the time.” The duo is all set to star together yet again in their upcoming film titled 'Kalank' which will release in April. The two were last seen together in 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania'. Well, we for one can't wait to watch this remake of 'Coolie No. 1'. We wonder who the leading lady will be though.
