Varun Dhawan refutes news of being approached for Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy'
The news about Varun Dhawan replacing Ranveer Singh in ‘Gully Boys’ was quite a head turner. It came as a surprise that Ranveer opted out of the film to be helmed by best friend Zoya Akhtar. But nothing about the replacement turned out to be true. Apparently, Ranveer opted out of the film due to date issues, and thus Varun stepped in to play the part.

But when asked, Varun refuted the news of being approached for the said film. To stop any further speculations in regards to the news, Varun said, “That’s not true at all. I am not doing that film.” The actor has not been approached for ‘Gully Boys’ as yet, and the makers too have not made any official announcement about the film.

The film ‘Gully Boys’ is a story based on the lives of street rappers from the chawls of Mumbai. Ranveer was very excited to play the part and was also supposed to make his singing debut in the film. But with Ranveer stepping out and Varun not approached as yet, we wonder who will step in to be Zoya’s Gully Boy.
