We're the bearers of sad news today...We have learnt early this morning that veteran actress Sridevi has passed away. The actress passed away on Saturday night in Dubai after suffering a cardiac arrest confirmed by her brother-in-law, Sanjay Kapoor. It is reported that she was with her husband, Boney Kapoor and her daughter Khushi Kapoor while her other daughter, Janhvi was in Mumbai shooting her upcoming film 'Dhadak'.

Sanjay Kapoor had landed last night in Mumbai but on hearing the sad news, he took a flight back to Dubai immediately on landing. “Yes, it is true that Sridevi passed away. I just landed here, I was in Dubai and now I am flying back to Dubai. It happened roughly around 11.00-11.30. I don’t know more details yet,” as confirmed by Sanjay to a leading daily. The entire family was in Dubai for the wedding ceremony of Mohit Marwah. Also, it has been brought to our realisation that just one month before Arjun Kapoor's debut film, 'Ishaqzaade', his mother and first wife of Boney Kapoor, Mona Kapoor passed away and now just one month prior to the release of Janhvi Kapoor's 'Dhadak', Sridevi leaves us all.

Sridevi is said to have passed away at Emirates Tower, Dubai at 11pm, Saturday night and was brought dead to Rashid Hospital. The actress complained of heartache earlier that night too. Her mortal body was given to forensic experts and was kept at the Al Qusais morgue. It is reported that Sridevi's body will reach India by 2pm today.

Sridevi’s most memorable onscreen pairing was with her real-life brother-in-law Anil Kapoor, while her most successful films were produced by husband Boney Kapoor. The actress' last film will be Shah Rukh Khan's 'Zero' as Sridevi did a cameo in the film which was shot last October. Buzz was also that Sridevi was going to judge a reality dance show, however, she hadn't confirmed that news. We are at a loss for words and pray that her soul rests in peace...
