Vidhu Vinod Chopra thinks it is the script and not Aamir Khan that make 'Dangal' a hit. Do you agree?
Aamir Khan starrer 'Dangal' released in December last year and became the highest grosser of all time even as the film still continues to mint money. The film, a biopic of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, was a story of a father who broke stereotypes and trained his daughters, Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat, to represent India internationally in wrestling. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film managed to break all box-office records of Aamir's previous films.

The makers, on the success of the film, threw a party and invited the crème de la crème of Bollywood to join in the celebration. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who has given hits like 'PK' and '3 Idiots' with Aamir too was present at the bash. The filmmaker, however, feels that Aamir is not the real star of the film and that the film is not a success because of the actor.

Talking to the media, filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, "Aamir Khan is not king, the story is the king. If Dangal featured Hrithik Roshan instead of Aamir, the film would have still become a hit. The artist has a big role to play. This does not make Aamir small, but I am saying, the story is bigger."

Well, we guess what Aamir Khan has to say about this. However, who else do you think could have done the wrestler's role better than Aamir?
