Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is famous for his Shakespearean themed adaptations of films. He has earlier adapted Shakespearean tragedies like 'Macbeth' ('Maqbool'), 'Othello' ('Omkara') and 'Hamlet' ('Haider'). He has also brought Ruskin Bonds's 'The Blue Umbrella' and 'Susanna's Seven Husbands' ('7 Khoon Maaf') to the silver screen. But reportedly, the filmmaker has now taken a break from Shakespeare and will be adapting 'The Exile: The Stunning Inside Story of Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda in Flight' as his next directorial venture.

The project titled, 'Abbottabad' will be produced by Bhardwaj and Junglee Pictures as a conjoint venture. The book, written by Catherine Scott-Clark and Adrian Levy, provides an insider's account of al-Qaida after 9/11. The premise of the book is based on the history of the terrorist network, from 2001 to the present and reveals a dark web of familial and political machinations. As of now, no further details have been provided about the project. Vishal's last film 'Rangoon', failed to create any magic at the box office.

Well, we're certainly excited to see this new project come to life on the silver screen! Stay tuned for more updates.
