There have been a lot of controversies surrounding the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Raees'. The film which will hit theatres on January 25, also stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan opposite Shah Rukh. Post the devastating Uri attacks, relations between India and Pakistan worsened and India imposed a ban on Pakistani artistes from working in Hindi cinema.
However, as a few portions of 'Raees' were already shot, in a mutual understanding the makers were allowed to release the film without replacing the actress. However, an old video of Mahira Khan is going viral. Mahira, in the video, is seen jokingly dissing India, and talking about why Pakistanis should not inspire from Indians.
The video has garnered a lot of negative attention, and can also pose a problem for the makers of 'Raees'.
