We know that Salman Khan is quite the fitness enthusiast and after playing softer roles than he's used to in his past couple of films, Salman is back at what he's best at...and that's action with 'Tiger Zinda Hai'. The spy thriller is replete with its high-octane action sequences and the actor has to undergo extensive preparation for his role and sequences in the film. Director Ali Abbas Zafar revealed that Salman hit the gym three months before the film went on floors to attain the muscular look.

Zafar also added, "Salman has really pushed himself for the part. He started working out three months before we began the shoot in Austria, to ensure that he had the fitness level that a film like this demands of you." Salman had to also undergo altitude training because a huge part of the film was shot in the snow-capped mountains of Austria. The director added, "He had to undergo altitude training before he could attempt the daring stunts that had to be shot in the Alps. Salman would also cycle the 10-kilometre distance to the set and we all know it's not easy to cycle in such harsh environments."

A source also revealed that Salman altered his diet to a high-protein, no-carbs one to maintain his beefed-up look. "Salman struck sugar off his diet altogether and also cut down on his intake of salt," the source added. But like all, Salman too had a cheat day, the director revealed. He said, "Salman had a special diet charted out - one that kept him agile. He paid minute attention to whatever he was eating throughout the shoot. The cheat day came in the last schedule in Greece!"

Well, if anyone could do it, it's Salman Khan!
