Will Alia Bhatt not star opposite Ranveer Singh in 'Simmba'?

Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be seen pairing up for the first time in Zoya Akhtar's ‘Gully Boy’. Up until now, the duo had only done a series of ads together. Now there are rumours that Alia will also team up with Ranveer for another upcoming film, Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba'. But a source from the team revealed, "There's no truth to it. Alia doing 'Simmba' is not at all true. Rohit and Karan will lock the girl next month. They are finishing the script currently."
"Alia already has as many as three films lined up next year. There's 'Gully Boy', post which she begins work on Abhishek Varman's next with Varun Dhawan and moves on to Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Given that 'Simmba' is scheduled for a December 28 release next year, Alia won't have dates to wrap the film anyway," the source concluded.
