Will there be no promotions for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat'?

After a long struggle with the CBFC, as with several social and political groups, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' has been given a go-ahead by the CBFC and is all set to take to theatres on the 25th of January 2018. However, unlike most movies today, the actors of the film will not be promoting it. The makers worry that statements made at interviews could ‘cause further uproar’ ahead of the film’s January 25 release.

A source said, "The makers want to keep promotional work minimal to avoid controversy. Also, the cast members are busy with other commitments." So, guess this means that we will not be spotting Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone promoting the movie. On a more emotional note, Bhansali recently showed the movie to his mother and her reaction was adorable!

A source informed, “Sanjay sir has shown ‘Padmaavat’ to his mother Leela and after watching the film, she got very emotional as she feels the movie is his best work. Sanjay sir’s mother is very happy and proud of his work in 'Padmaavat'. She can’t believe that even after all that her son and the film has gone through, it has turned out to be such a great tribute to the Rajput women and a beautiful film to watch.”

The movie which was earlier scheduled to release on the 1st of December 2017 will now finally take to theatres this month. Are you excited because we sure are!
