Will we get to see Shahid Kapoor and Katrina Kaif share screen space soon?

It's always a joy to see a Bollywood superstar share screen space with another superstar, much like Shahid Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. However, it has been years now that the pair hasn't worked out a movie together but today we come bearing good news. Buzz is that Shahid and Katrina will be seen on the big-screen soon, together in director Shree Narayan Singh’s next, 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'.
The pair has missed the opportunity to work together for years now. Even when Katrina was offered Rajkumar Santoshi’s 'Phata Poster Nikhla Hero' and Vikas Bahl’s 'Shaandaar' opposite Shahid, Katrina opted out of both citing date issues. Apparently, Shahid even told a mutual friend that he thought that Katrina was deliberately trying to avoid working with him. “So this time, although Katrina again had a date issue, she decided to do Narayan’s film, more so because it gives her a chance to play a small-town girl. She will brush up her Hindi to sound convincing," said a source.
Katrina apparently has beaten Shraddha Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar and grabbed the role for herself in the upcoming film, to star alongside Shahid.
