Yami Gautam to star in 'Woh Kaun Thi' remake?

It was recently announced that a remake of Manoj Kumar and Sadhana starrer 'Woh Kaun Thi' (1964) was in the talks. While the co-founder of KriArj Entertainment, Arjun N Kapoor is all set to make his acting debut with this film, now there's buzz that actress Yami Gautam has also been roped in for the lead role. Recently, Yami also spoke about creating awareness about any topic that affects society. She said, "As an actor, it is a great opportunity for us to create awareness through films. Cinema is a powerful tool and there is more connectivity with people through them."
She added, "We often talk about social issues in general but films help us pass on the message or remind people about certain things which are not good for society and must be worked upon." The actress is also set to play the role of a lawyer in Shahid Kapoor starrer 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. Talking about her role in the film she said she does not have many cinematic references to fall back on except Rani Mukherji's role in 'Veer Zaara'. Stay tuned for more updates.
