Most of us can do without a full-on makeup look, however, a bare face with no concealer isn't a sight most of us are ready to show the world. Would you agree? Concealers help brighten up your face, even out your skin tone and cover any pigmentation issues or redness on the skin, making it a daily essential for most. However, with this season's summer turning out to making the outdoors a furnace, our concealers tend to crease and melt in just a few hours. And so, since walking out with dark-circles might not be an option all the time, we've got you'll a few hacks to help rid you'll of your concealer woes this season.

1. Use a mattifying toner

The first step to long-lasting concealer that stays even and smooth for hours is to start with a mattifying toner. It constricts and shrinks the pores prior to applying makeup, especially concealer. Concealer will have a hard time sticking to the skin if pores are enlarged and oily, so be sure to start with clean skin that is toned right before applying concealer.

2. Prime before you conceal

Priming your skin is important all year round to keep makeup from straying. However in the summertime, your concealer and humidity could turn against you if your skin is left without primer.

3. Moisturise

While you might think that moisturised skin will be a disadvantage in the heat, dry skin will just aid in your concealer caking and won’t stop the product from running once you step outside. They key is to use a lightweight moisturiser on your face and under-eye area prior to concealer.

4. Double prime

This helps illuminates the skin for added glow without any oil.

5. Choose a long-wearing formula

In warmer months, swap out your normal concealer for a long-staying formula. Use your fingertips to pat the concealer.

6. Bake

If you are applying concealer on your under-eye area, bake especially in the summer. This provides sheer coverage with a matte finish to lock in the concealer, even in high temperatures. Just apply a generous coating of loose powder and dust it off after a minute or so.

7. Keep blotting papers handy

Now, this needs no explanation, does it?
