When it came to sending out a message on sexual assault and gender discrimination at the Golden Globes, black was the colour it was done with. However, now at the 60th annual Grammy Awards, seems like white was the way to go. Showing solidarity for the 'Time's Up' and 'MeToo' movements, celebrities spiced up the red carpet at the Golden Globes in black outfits and now we've spotted that there was a large showing of the colour white at the Grammys on Sunday.

The colour white has been symbolic of peace for the longest time now and recently, even Hillary Clinton wore white when she accepted the Democratic nomination to be the first female presidential candidate. So it's not surprising that our celebs chose the lambent hue to show solidarity to the movements. “There will definitely be a whiteout on stage,” said one New York fashion publicist earlier. “We’ve definitely noticed an uptick in pulls of white pieces for performers,” added a Beverly Hills fashion showroom representative who is working with multiple stylists, before a sea of white gowns was spotted on the red carpet on Sunday.

White roses too were worn by musicians including Cardi B, Rita Ora, Halsey, Kelly Clarkson and Cyndi Lauper as a salute to Time’s Up efforts coordinated by the group 'Voices of Entertainment'. Well, after a blackout, we've quite enjoyed this white-washout too!
