Anushka Sharma has unabashedly always agreed to being a huge fan of the Indian drape. She has chosen the saree to make several glam appearances in and has wowed us every single time. Whether it was her stunning Sabyasachi gold Banarasi saree that she donned for her wedding reception in Delhi or the Chanderi drape that she went with at the Smita Patil Award ceremony or even the Dhakai Jamdani saree that she went with whilst promoting 'Sui Dhaaga' in Kolkata, the actress has personally handpicked several of these drapes herself and wowed in them.

Anushka loves traditional weaves and it is no secret. More often than not, she has brought attention in the past few years to Indian textiles and handicraft work with the sarees she has chosen to wear. In fact, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, in an interview recently had attributed Anushka for the rise in sales of Banarasi Sarees for weddings!
