From ruffled sarees to some serious play with colour, Bangalore Times Fashion Week 2018 is off to a great start.
It’s fashion week time all over again! And after ending Pune Times Fashion Week 2018 with a bang, we’re all set to have yet another weekend filled with glamour, fashion and a whole lot of style. Bangalore Times Fashion Week 2018 (BGTFW) has just kicked off and today, we bring you all the style that took to our ramp on day one!

Pahal Design presents Rainush by Govind Kumar Singh

Govind Kumar Singh opened the fashion week for us with a collection to love. Pahal Design presents Rainush by Govind Kumar Singh’s collection featured everything from ornate lehengas to embellished and cut-out anarkalis. Showstopper, Mugdha Godse wowed in a white saree featuring feather and sheer detailing.

Sakhi Fashions

If you’re looking for sarees to invest in this wedding season, trust us when we say that Sakhi Fashions is the store you need to head to! From colour-block sarees to contrasting blouses to ruffle-hem drapes and whatnot, this collection is perfect for this celebratory season.

Aryan G Naidu

Aryan G Naidu’s collection followed Sakhi’s and the collection was equal parts chic and classy. Their collection ‘Uptight Desi’ featured outfits you can wear in your daily lives. From chic dresses to classy separates, the outfits displayed make for great everyday fashion choices.

F Gear

If you’re looking to elevate your travel style this season, you have got to check out F Gear’s collection presented at BGTFW. We loved the travel accessories and the travel-friendly yet trendy looks that took to the ramp. Their backpacks and their carry-on luggage looked both, practical yet on-trend!

JD Institute of Fashion & Technology

This institute put up a collection to love at BGTFW. From whites to neon greens and blue, the collection’s colour palette was a vast one. The outfits displayed were both, contemporary and chic. The balance between quirky and sophisticated was noteworthy and there was nothing not to love about this show.

Fulki

Other than a few dark blue and maroon outfits, this label chose to monopolise on pastel hues and they managed to do it well. From lehengas to saree gowns and whatnot, the outfits displayed were varied and fit for this wedding season. We also love how they added those slight contemporary vibes to traditional looks. A look we loved best was one of their dark lehengas teamed with a sheer gold cape! Navneet Kaur turned showstopper and wowed in a shimmery silver lehenga.

Qtrove.com presents Manoviraj Khosla

Manoviraj Khosla's ramp was one big party with loads of style. The contemporary collection featured everything from multi-hued kurtas for men to sharp pantsuits for women. We also love how he managed to incorporate metallic hues into this collection. Sharp silhouettes were given fun and quirky twists and there was nothing not to absolutely love!

Blenders Pride Magical Nights presents Rocky Star

We’ve come to the final show of day one and what a show it has been! From contemporary (and seriously bold) dresses to the eclectic evening gown and more, the collection is fit for any modern Indian woman.

Stay tuned 'cause day two will be one packed with more style and glamour!
