Day 1 of Bombay Times Fashion Week: First day grand show

Bombay Times Fashion Week (BTFW), one of the biggest events of the year, kickstarted in a grand way on March 22 at The St. Regis Mumbai. The three-day event began with bold looks. Here are all the details fashion enthusiasts need to know about the first day.
Shaina NC opened the extravaganza with her couture show titled 'Queen Of Drapes'. Fine Indian decorative arts that include traditional embroideries and motifs were the inspiration behind the collection. Each unique piece had different and innovative drape styles. Her show as a tribute to the Indian Armed Forces and their families.
INIFD Bandra presented 'Design Dreams', which included seven lines with stunning ensembles to showcase the soul of Mumbai at the show. The collection included edgy looks, soft hues and looks perfect to achieve summer chic vibes with style.
Shakuntala Shetty was proud to showcase her label Adhya. The collection is inspired by the Indian culture across the country. The stunning masterpieces were traditional and ethnic. Actress Sana Khan graced the ramp for the label in a stunning couture pink dress with fabulous detail.
Designer Samant Chauhan made his debut with an enigmatic collection at the event. The looks were inspired by his own perception of Mumbai, which he feels is about "loving people in a space."
Vijay Varma, who for Chauhan represents the city, was the showstopper for the collection in an all-black ensemble looking dapper.
Day one of the event ended with a fantastic show by Jewels by Queenie Singh, who showcased some fine jewels for the modern day woman. Each piece was unique and strikingly beautiful. The gorgeous Chitrangda Singh walked the ramp in fine jewellery from the latest collection.
