It's fashion week all over again and we're pumped about it! Bombay Times Fashion Week (BTFW 2018) is back, bigger and bolder than ever. And after a great first day, we have brought you all the details from day one you cannot possibly miss out on. As fashion enthusiasts, we can safely say that BTFW 2018 is off to a great start and here's all you need to know...

The show was opened by Pallavi Jaikishan, presented by Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers. The collection displayed by Pallavi was one to love. From heavily embroidered lehengas to embellished kurtas and embroidered sarees, the collection is one that's fit for the modern Indian bride. The diamond baubles presented by WHP Jewellers complemented the ostentatious outfits perfectly.

Miss Diva runner-up, Roshni Sheoran walked for the designer. She looked stunning in a blush lehenga featuring silver embroidery all-over. With a dupatta to match and diamond jewellery, of course, her look was rounded off.
Here's what she had to say about her outfit...

The second show was by Masuuma Namjoshi who presented us with a collection from her label, Zarf. From statement sleeves to tulle and net, among many other details, the collection had it all. The colour palette featured a lot of pastel colours like pinks and greens. However, we did spot a striking green emerald gown and a traditional bright red embroidered lehenga too. The diamond jewellery added that extra oomph to the Indian looks.

Urvashi Rautela turned showstopper for Zarf and she stunned in a showstopping maroon velvet lehenga that was heavily embroidered and embellished. Her statement ethnic jewellery was also complemented with a shimmery headgear. Here is her sashaying down the ramp...

Here's what Urvashi had to say about being at BTFW...

The third show was one comprising of three designers who were all presented by FUEL. The first happened to be Shazzle by Shazia. We spotted a lot of solid colours being used in this collection titled 'Serafina'. Deep maroons, greens and navy blues were colours we noticed took to the ramp times too many. Minimal embellishments make the collection a minimalist's dream. The evening gowns presented were to love!

Krystle D'souza tuned showstopper for Shazia. She looked ravishing in a nude outfit featuring minimal embroidered work. See her twirl here...

The second to showcase their collection in this third segment today happened to be RAR Studio. Their 'Sheesh Mahal' collection is inspired by the regal extravagance of Indian textiles and architecture. The silhouettes were elegant and ethnic and the drapes made them perfect for the modern Indian woman of today. Here's a look-see at the collection...

Rhea Chakraborty closed the show for RAR Studio and she worked a very regal and royal look on the ramp. Statement danglers and a maang tikka rounded her look off. Check out her showstopping look right here...

The last to present in this third segment happened to be Megha & Jigar. The design duo's collection 'Sapphire' vocalised a bejewelled tale of opulence. From crystal embellishments to savvy silhouettes, the collection was a fabulous one. Here's what the line-up of the collection looked like...

Songstress, Akriti Kakar closed the show for the design duo. Akriti 's gold outfit is any bride's dream look. The floor-grazing sleeves even make it the perfect red carpet look!

Also, Ishita Raj Sharma walked as showstopper for Megha and Jigar. The actress looked stunning in her embroidered and embellished pastel lehenga.

The next segment of designers was presented by Dr Tvacha. First up to take the ramp was Adaa Mallikk's collection, 'Nights In Shining Armour'. The show started off with soft-hued outfits, mainly dresses and then went on to really bold metallic looks. Adaa's collection was all about structure and architecturally designed looks. Adaa's ramp was turned into a party and had models dancing away in their party-ready looks. The vibe was truly infectious!

Dad, Anu Malik, Manish Paul and Darshan Raval turned showstoppers for Adaa. You have got to see in action how they took to the ramp. Here's a look-see...

Showstopper, Divya Khosla Kumar looked all things sexy in a dress featuring a silver metallic corset-like bodice top and a sheer-hemmed skirt.

Here's what she had to say about her outfit created by Adaa...

The second show in this segment was presented by Nivedita Saboo. The collection featured embroidered and embellished lehengas, shimmery ones too and contemporary gowns fit for the modern Indian bride. Her showstoppers, however, took the cake!

Urvashi Rautela and Guru Randhawa turned showstoppers for Nivedita. Urvashi's heavily embellished lehenga stood out starkly against Guru's all-black rather contemporary ethnic kurta set. Here's what they were up to behind the scenes...

Lastly, came the grand finale for the day by Swapnil Shinde who presented his collection '377 Reasons to Love'. His show started off with all-black looks and then went multi-coloured. Featuring the LGBT colours, his collection was not just a bold one, but one to make a statement and we gathered that 'inclusivity' played a huge part in the inspirational process behind this collection.

Mouni Roy closed the show in a dramatic all-white look and we gather that her look signified 'peace'. Here’s what her outfit looked like...

Well, that brings us to the end of day one of BTFW 2018. Stay tuned because we will have for you two more days of sartorial and fashion awesomeness...
