Deepika Padukone gives us a classic way to style this wardrobe essential!

Just like the LBD and a good pair of blue jeans, a white shirt makes for an essential in a woman's wardrobe. And over the years, designers and stylists alike, have shown us that the white shirt doesn't only occupy a space in your 'formal wardrobe collection' but can be styled to look casual by working it with a pair of denim shorts or can be made to even look semi-formal if you don't want to go all-in with 'work mode'. And giving us a glam semi-formal look, Deepika has given the white shirt a spin in the chicest way ever.

Styled by Shaleena Nathani (obviously), the actress went with a heavily embroidered Sabyasachi Mukherjee midi skirt. With box pleats in the front and a floral embroidery in multi-hues all over, the skirt made for one amazing piece. Deepika balanced out her look by teaming the busy skirt with a white formal shirt and folded the sleeves up to lend that sort of casualness to the look. Going with pointy-toed black heels, she completed her look.

Deepika went with silver flower motif earrings to accessorise with and did away with any other jewellery, thus keeping it more in the formal zone. With her hair styled open but slicked back, she looked all things chic, sharp and stunning. Deepika threw in a dash of red for her smile and went with delicately kohled eyes and her statement brow look to round things off.
