Actress Dia Mirza who is all set for the much-awaited ‘Sanju’ got candid about her personal style and also shared some monsoon style tips as well as some fitness tips. She also spoke about sustainable fashion, the trend which is growing in India.

Dia Mirza on monsoon tips for the hair, “The one thing that can happen to us especially the people who live in Mumbai is that the hair can really get frizzy. So find yourself a good hair serum that you can weave into your hair while it’s wet. As beautiful things can happen like natural textures can form and at least you won’t be like a frizz ball in the monsoons.”

Talking about applying makeup during the monsoons she said, “Use water-based foundations instead of using oil based ones as it can get very greasy.”

Speaking about sustainable fashion the actress said, “Sustainable fashion is basically producing locally and using natural fabrics and using handcrafted ones. But most importantly sustainable fashion is about wearing fashion that is locally available. It is something that is growing in India.”

The actress further added, “There are some amazing designers who are doing incredible work like Amit Aggarwal, who is using industrial waste and leftover fabrics to do these gorgeous clothes. So reusing and recycling has become very big and integral part of sustainable fashion. It is amazing to see the kinds of examples are being set in the Indian fashion industry.”

When asked about fashion trends Dia Mirza said, “I don’t follow trends, at least not consciously. I always just reach out to what makes me happy. If I look at something and I love it I wear it. I just dress to feel good.” Further speaking about her personal style mantra the actress said, “Simple, relatable and effortless.”

3 things we will find in her bag always, to which Dia Mirza quipped, “My wallet, my hand sanitizer and my house keys and my mobile phone.”

The actress also revealed some skincare tips, “Hydration, exercise and the most important thing is positive thoughts because the brain is connected to the skin in a way that possibly nothing else is.”

Dia Mirza concluded by giving some fitness tips, “10,000 steps a day whether you’re running, dancing, working out, swimming or whatever it may be just try and achieve 10,000 steps a day.”
