Here’s the latest denim trend and trust us when we say you’re going to be really shocked this time around!

It’s a known fact that denim has constantly been re-invented by designers globally. This year especially has seen the growth of some really unconventional denim trends but trust us, none of them have been this…absurd! We’ve come across what looks like the most naked pair of jeans and we don’t know what to think…

Spotted at the Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo at new designer Thibaut’s show, models walked the ramp in barely-there jeans. The designer took not just denim trends but the cut-out trend too, to a whole new level and put on display jeans that had front and back panels cut out, leaving nothing but the seams. Hence the name, ‘thong jeans’ because the pairs paraded down the ramp looked like the undergarment but in denim.

While we love that the classic denim has always been re-invented for fresher looks with newer takes, this new trend just doesn’t sit right with us and also doesn’t seem to be sitting right with a lot of people globally (clearly, we understand why). And while we do live in a world where ‘thong jeans’ do exist, we clearly won’t be sporting this trend anytime soon. What are your thoughts on this…we’d really like to know!
