We are sure even you are crushing on this new makeup trend like us. For the first time, we can see bold aquas, blues, and greens on the eyes also known as marine hues are having a moment. In fact, this trend, which is universally flattering and quite mesmerising to look at, has been a celebrity favourite. We can see it has been filled with pops of electric blue, bold teal, soft turquoise, and similar mermaid-inspired colours. We have taken inspiration from our beauty queens and listed 5 looks you can work on.

Deepika Padukone’s dramatic runway-style teal

How can we not mention Deepika Padukone while talking about fashion… Right? She rocked at the red carpet. A flawless, dewy base, with true nude lipstick, is a must in order to let the eyes be the focus of the look, with only a bit of bronzer to add colour.

Following that, apply a teal and aqua eye crayon like eyeliner, including on the water line. After this, thicken the line on the top lash line, and apply a V-shaped punch of colour on the outer corner of the eyes. Smudge the liner with a smudger brush outwards, till it resembles the shape in the picture. Of course, more colour can always be added to intensify the saturation of the green. For finishing touches, curl the lashes well, and add thick coats of separating and curling mascara. To frame the eyes properly, the brows need to be gelled up and away from the eyes.

Priyanka Chopra’s party-perfect blue and green

If you want to recreate it, you’ll need some purple eyeshadow in the outer corner, and sea green eyeshadow in the inner corner. Blend these towards each other, and add a pop of blue at the center of your lid where these two colours meet. Top off your lashes with blue mascara, and you’re all set for the party.

Sonam Kapoor’s angelic gradient seafoam

To start off, you can sweep shimmery white shadow all across your eyelid, barring the extreme outer corner. Add shimmery light seafoam shadow to the outer corner, and blend it in towards the white shadow, stopping at the center of your eyelid.

Aishwarya Rai’s artistic electric blue look

You need to start with a wash of mint green, shimmery shadow at the center of your lid, and add a pop of white shimmery shadow to the inner corners of your eyes. Follow this with an electric blue cream eyeliner on both, the upper and lower lashline, keeping the upper line thicker towards the wings. Flick the liner outwards, and create a hashtag shape on the outer corner. Start blending this into a winged tip, merging it with the mint eyeshadow.

Priyanka Chopra’s day-time ready sea green

Keep your base fresh and glowy, adding a peachy nude lipstick and blush for a flush of colour. Tightline your upper lash line and create the skinniest line with black liquid liner on your upper lash line. Line your lower waterline AND lash line with a shimmery, light sea-green eye pencil. Use a heavy-duty lengthening, curling, separating mascara on your upper lashes, and a separating mascara on your lower lashes.
