Kriti Sanon's new take on saree is refreshing!

Kriti Sanon’s launchpad film,’Heropanti’ in 2014 may not have been the most superhit film, but the actress learnt her lesson. Post her debut film, the actress consciously chose unconventional films, and box office collections have finally favoured her. Her last film, Luka Chuppi along with Kartik Aaryan was a box office hit and Kriti is now busy working on period drama ‘Panipat’ with period-drama expert, Ashutosh Gowariker. Clearly, Kriti Sanon has finally arrived. But like most actresses from today’s generation, Kriti is not just a solid actress, but is also a true style diva.

Kriti recently attended her friend and designer Sonaakshi Raaj’s engagement party as a guest, and chose an experimental number for the occasion. Her choice of outfit for the occasion was a concept saree by Monisha Jaising. The pre-draped emerald saree, featured beautiful golden motifs, had a self-stitched blouse attached to it, creating an illusion of a gown with cut-out details. Or was it the other way round? We can’t tell.



For accessories, she chose elaborate chandballis, and ensured they were the centre of one’s attention by tying her long locks up in a bun and tinting her lips in a subtle pink. She ditched the heels for a Sukriti and Aakriti pair of kolhapuris, and honestly we loved that for once a mainstream actress chose to dress realistically.

We loved that Kriti chose a unique, never-before-seen saree drape. It would make the perfect choice for a summer wedding.
