Lakme Fashion Week 2019: Rounding up all the designs and collections presented on Day 2

The Lakme Fashion Week 2019 kickstarted on August 21 this year and boy did Day 1 showcase some amazing designs. Featuring some fabulous colours paired with intricately detailed prints, Day 1 saw some fantastic collections on the runway. Now, following those footsteps are the collections of Day 2. Here's all you need to know.



The C&A Foundation collaborated with IMG Reliance and Lakme Fashion Week to showcase '11.11/eleven eleven'. What's unique about this is that even farmers took to the stage and spoke about the socio-economic and environmental case for organic cotton.





The next show was presented by Khadi India in collaboration with Anuj Bhutani, and Three by Pallavi Dhyani who showcased collections with hand-spun, hand-woven cotton & silk Khadi fabrics.





K a • S h a INDIA and Pro Ecuador in a unique collaboration presented a special collection of garments and accessories using Corozo based material in the form of buttons and embellishments. Their vibrant prints and designs added a pop of colour to the collection.





Aavaran Udaipur debuted their collection inspired by Danish artist Anne Vilsoll’s contemporary artwork series using contemporary prints and natural fabrics. Featuring pastels and dull hues, this one was a sight to behold. Mrunal Thakur turned show stopper for the showcase of Aavaran Udaipur.








Maku Textiles, Padmaja and Soham Dave showcased their fabulously chic and trendy collection at the event. The gorgeous Malavika Mohanan turned showstopper for Padmaja.







The next collection was presented by Antar Agni and Urvashi Kaur. While Agni's collection featured handloom cotton from UP and Bihar, Urvashi's collection featured khes fabric from Punjab, Shibori tie-dye from Churu and Maheshwar silks from MP.





I WAS A SARI presented their collection which showcased upcycled pre-loved sarees turned into gorgeous apparel.





Lenzing AG from Austria collaborated with Abraham Thakore to present a hand block print collection made with LENZING viscose fibres. Featuring bold hues this one certainly grabbed eyeballs. The beautiful Athiya Shetty walked the runway for Lenzing EcoVero presents Abraham Thakore.
