Properly priming the eyelid is of utmost importance as this results in the eyeshadow lasting longer and makes blending easier too. "Eyeshadow can drag on an oily eyelid, so priming or powdering first is essential," says Morris. "Primers are great, I like Laura Mercier, NARS or MAC, but at the end of the day, translucent powder works fine too and it's what all the pro's do. Just watch out for HD powders as they are often silicone based, which can make lids sticky," she adds, speaking to a leading women's magazine.
