Manish Malhotra presents a glimpse into his LFW 2017 collection

Ensconced in the glamorous worlds of film and fashion, designer Manish Malhotra has not only redefined fashion in Indian cinema but has also established a cult status for his label. Having only just presented a collection at a recent fashion event, Manish is back with his new collection for the closing show of Lakme Fashion Week 2017.

At a recent event, the designer presented a small glimpse of his collection – the aptly named – ‘Tales of Indulgence.’ The collection, in the designer's own words, is full of ‘decadence, luxury and sensuality’, words that have become synonymous with all of Malhotra’s designs.

The collection also features a number of firsts – the first time he is venturing into designing suits for men, cocktail dresses for women and outfits for women that are predominantly black and chrome. The designer also added, “This collection is an amalgamation of different cuts and designs which are all about festive. I am approaching Winter/Festive in a different way.”

The designer emphasized that this collection is more ‘modern’ and ‘young’ as compared to the rest of his collections. However, the designer confirmed that the collection will continue to have the quintessential Manish Malhotra flair, signing off saying, “There will always be a touch of glamour and something Indian in my designs.”
