He truly does ‘weave magic through fabric’.

He became the first and youngest designer to emerge out of Hyderabad. He has weaved magic through fabric for 18 years now and Shravan Kummar Ramaswamy has truly been inspirational to the emerging generation of research-driven designers. And today, showcasing his latest collection titled ‘Ashtamangalyam’, he has managed to bring back to life the bygone era of royalty with his pieces.

In Benaras weaves and in sober and bright colours, Shravan has openly displayed his eternal love towards Indian arts, heritage and craftsmanship as also giving a touch of modern India whilst displaying his clothes on the ramp at the BGTFW. The collection, fit for royals, included demure yet ostentatious pieces being paraded down the ramp. Including Indian and Persian influences, the collection featured Persian cuts and clarity. The fabrics especially played a major role in the collection and were draped to perfection. The fabrics included everything from handlooms, to hand-woven silk, raw silk and tissue-raw silk inculcated fabrics. Models in printed pieces took to the runway and the prints used were inspired by places of India.
